Stamped & Decorative Concrete
Get the look of natural stone, brick, or tile with the durability and affordability of concrete.

What is Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete lets you create beautiful patterns and textures that mimic natural materials like stone, slate, brick, or wood. The process involves pressing molds into freshly poured concrete before it fully sets. You get the high-end look of expensive materials without the high-end price tag.
We have been installing stamped and decorative concrete in Davis, CA since 2024. Whether you want a patio that looks like natural flagstone or a driveway with a cobblestone pattern, stamped concrete gives you endless design possibilities. It is also easier to maintain than real stone or pavers because there are no gaps for weeds to grow through.
Design Options and Patterns
The variety of patterns and colors available is one of the biggest advantages of stamped concrete. You can choose from dozens of stamp patterns including slate, flagstone, cobblestone, brick, wood plank, and more. Each pattern can be customized with different colors and finishes to match your home's style.
Here are some popular options we offer:
- Ashlar slate: Random rectangular patterns that look like natural cut stone
- Cobblestone: Classic European look perfect for driveways and walkways
- Herringbone brick: Traditional brick pattern with a timeless appeal
- Random stone: Irregular flagstone look for a natural, rustic appearance
- Wood plank: Realistic wood grain texture without the maintenance
We can also add colored borders, combine multiple patterns, or integrate decorative saw cuts to create a completely custom look for your property.
Benefits Over Other Materials
Stamped concrete offers several advantages compared to natural stone pavers or real brick. First, it costs less to install because we pour it as a single surface rather than placing individual pieces. Second, it requires less maintenance because there are no joints for weeds to grow through or pavers to shift and settle.
Stamped concrete is also more durable than wood decking and does not rot, warp, or need regular staining. It works great for patios, driveways, pool decks, walkways, and even interior floors. Once sealed, it resists stains, water damage, and UV fading better than most natural materials.
Installation Process
Installing stamped concrete requires skill and timing. The concrete has to be at the right consistency when we apply the stamps, and the color needs to be applied evenly for a natural look. We start by preparing the base, pouring the concrete, and adding color hardener to the surface. Then we press the stamp molds into the concrete to create the texture and pattern.
After the concrete sets, we wash off the release agent, apply a sealer to protect the surface, and let it cure properly. The entire process takes longer than a standard concrete pour, but the results are worth it. You end up with a unique, high-quality surface that adds value and beauty to your property.
